We’re going to go a few steps ahead with this article. Instead of talking about where to find MLM leaders for your downline, today we’re going to talk about developing leaders you already have in your downline. Start with the following steps:
Identify: Pick and choose which downline members have potential and drive. Some may not know it yet so watch them carefully for signs of ability. Do they have the right temperament to lead part of your organization? Do they have skills that you don’t have (that’s a good thing)?
Contact: Let your new leader know that you’ve recognized their abilities and think that they’d be a great influence within your organization. Be sincere in your praise and show them that you believe in their leadership skills. Most MLM leaders are not born; they are raised and trained.
Give: Remember that you must always give before you receive. Now don’t be a pushover and let your downline run all over you. Just let them know that you are there for them and want to help them succeed. If they succeed, you succeed.
Train: Show them the systems you have in place. Still haven’t gotten yours up and running? Use one your upline leaders to help. Be generous with the information you provide your downline but try not to overwhelm them with too much. Come up with a structured training plan for the next 30, 60, and 90-days.
Be Nice: Network marketing is not a community of slaves and dimwits. These are your friends and peers and they deserve your respect. Yes, sometimes you’ll have issue with a hardheaded associate, but give them some time and space. Let them know you’ll be there when they’re ready. Be nice.
Again, these are merely some of the beginning steps of identifying and growing the MLM leaders within your organization. Join me next time for more insight into growing powerhouse MLM leaders.
